I look out of an open window. In the house across from me a woman is vacuuming. Then I see another woman vacuuming. Her legs are thick. I find myself in a group of people. Names are called one by one, small groups form, and I am left behind. Then I am driving a car. I stop at a traffic light behind another vehicle. That car begins sliding forward, and I slide after it. I press the brake pedal, pull the handbrake, but my car keeps sliding further toward the city. I get faster and faster, racing toward stationary cars. In front of me is a hairpin turn I want to take – have to take.
